Moconá Falls
The Moconá Waterfalls have the unique peculiarity of being longitudinal to the stream of water instead of transversal like the rest of the waterfalls.
The Guaraní aboriginals gave the falls the name of Moconá, meaning swallower or the one who swallows everything, because of the white-waters and the whirlpools that form along the entire stream.
You can visit them navigating the river, being that a hard to forget adventure, given the jungle's huge shades of greens, a true gift for the soul. Another possibility, and our recommendation if you like 4x4 safaris, is the land route. On this trip you will traverse the biosphere, discovering at each step the perfect harmony among jungle's living beings, birds, mammals, reptiles, trees, flowers, vines, and climbing plants. Crossing streams and rivers, we will discover all the alternatives this generous nature has for us.
The Moconá Waterfalls are a series of contiguous falls, 10 to 15 meters high, going along the river for about 3000 meters. They are not always visible, as they depend on the water level, but when the river is low, they offer their entire splendor to us.
